Our freshmen/sophomore English teacher just sent this. OK - here's something to make you chuckle: English I was writing a short report, and I said that they could not use 1st or 2nd person pronouns, which led to a whole discussion about when to use which person. Everyone settled down to write, and one of the boys raised his hand, so I went over to him, and he asked, "So what is 4th person?" "There's not a 4th person." "But if there was, what would it be called?" "Well, there's not a fourth person." "But if there was . . ?" "But there's not." Pause. "Well, why not?" -- David Lininger, kb0zke MS/HS Librarian Skyline MS/HS Urbana, MO 65767 (417) 993-4226 t i g e r l i b r a r i a n at g m a i l dot c o m -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
