Good Friday morning (yee-haw!), I'm sure you know what's coming: our middle and high school teachers are contending with students reading or skimming through SparkNotes and taking AR tests without reading the books at all. At both buildings, students are required to read and pass three tests - different genres - each grading period; the test score counts as one test grade at the middle school and three test grades at the high school. The only idea anyone has come up with so far is not to accept any AR test score under 80, but we would love to have other ideas that have worked for any of you.
