This my husband's all-time favorite dish. It was his grandmother's recipe, it is super easy and feeds a crowd. His family does a Mexican food themed night during the Christmas season. Heat oven to 350 Crush 3-4 cups of tortilla chips and spread in the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan 2lbs. Hamburger Meat 1 can green enchilada sauce 1 can cream of mushroom soup 2 small cans of chopped green chiles (undrained) 3/4 cup of milk 2 cups of cheddar cheese (I actually use a little less) Brown hamburger meat in a skillet, season with salt, pepper, or garlic if you wish. Drain any fat off the meat. Add enchilada sauce and soup, mix well Dump in green chiles, mix well Add milk and heat the mixture for 2-3 minutes. You can adjust the amount of milk, depending on how thick or runny you want the mixture. The thinner the mixture the softer the chips (I prefer it that way). Pour entire mixture into 9 x 13 pan, spread cheese on top and bake for 15-20 minutes or until cheese is bubbly.
