[LM_NET] RECIPE RESEND SURPRISE NUT SQUARES

Apparently my recipe came out goofy looking.  I'm going to try again to send it.

 

SURPRISE NUT SQUARES

 

1 egg

1 cup brown sugar

1 t. vanilla

one half cup sifted flour

one quarter t. salt

one quarter t. soda

one cup chopped walnuts (I also use pecans)

 

Mix egg, brown sugar and vanilla.  Add flour, salt and soda.  Stir in nuts.  Spread 
in greased 9 in. square pan and bake at 350 for 18-20 minutes.
 
I usually make a double batch in a 9x13 pan, because they are like Lay’s Potato 
Chips—no one can eat just one!
 
No, I didn’t leave the shortening out.  There is none.
