We are having our staff Christmas party this coming Thursday and as the chair of
our school Sunshine Club, I have been trying to figure out an activity we could do
this year prior to our ornament swap.  In the past I have borrowed ideas shared by
LM_NET and GAMEDIA cohorts...one was to play a snippit of a Christmas song and the
groups (we divided into tables) had to write down the correct title of the song and
for extra credit, the group or person who sang it.  The winning group received
passes from the principal to wear jeans, leave at 3pm, etc.  Last year we did one
where Christmas songs were rewritten and you had to figure out what was the correct
title.  Another we had planned on doing was to give out sheets with the first
letter from each word in the title of a bunch of C'mas songs...for instance OHN
would be Oh Holy Night.  The team that got the most correct in the given time would
win.

Listening to "Frosty the Snowman" in the car the other day, I thought of a new
activity we are going to try this year.  I am going to get several medium sized
brown bags (or inexpensive Christmas bags).  In each bag will be a roll of white
toilet paper, two pieces of black construction paper, two pieces of white
construction paper, several crayons (black, blue, red, etc.), a pair of scissors,
and tape.  Each table must choose a designated person before the game starts...they
will not know what that person will have to do.  The bag will be sealed with tape
and they cannot open it until the signal is given.  Once the groups are settled and
a person chosen in each group...the rules will be given....

When the music starts (Frosty the Snowman), each group will have until the last
song is played (I figured about 3-4 well-known and upbeat songs) to use the items
in the bag and make their designated person look as much like Frosty the Snowman as
possible!  I and one other person who will not play will select the best Frosty.
