All, I'm not sure how many of you have had a chance to check out FROM THE PUBLISHER'S OFFICE, an interactive website that features author videos, teaching materials, read-aloud modeling, and more at www.penguin.com/thepublishersoffice but I wanted to let you know that new content has been posted. All authors who appear on episodes of PENGUIN STORYTIME (elementary interest level) and YA CENTRAL (middle and high school interest level) publish books that are either already strong school tie-ins or that have great curriculum potential. Our hope is that viewers will be able to use this site and the assets posted there as tools in their schools and libraries to help students and patrons and even staff members get closer to their favorite authors and books, whether for pleasure or for school related projects. The site also features links to free downloadable items like printable discussion guides, bonus materials, author websites and blogs, and more. The videos and materials can also be e-mailed and shared via Digg, Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, and Teacher Tube among others. YA CENTRAL is the go-to destination for trends in teen literature and fascinating conversations with award-winning young adult authors. These episodes make great reading group and book club discussion group companions and are perfect for author study units in classrooms. SEASON TWO WILL FEATURE: LIVE NOW! T.A.
