Hi, John. Actually the practice of adding the URL is optional according to the MLA Handbook, so it is NOT a matter of "no 7th edition rules for urls." The authority (teacher, institution, etc.) can make the determination to require URLs and that's just fine with MLA. Tom Kaun Thomas T.
