At the moment that we persuade a child, any child, to cross that

threshold,

that magic threshold into a library, we change their lives

the

better. ~~Barack Obama

I thought poissonrouge.com was great. It has alphabet stuff,
different languages, and animal stuff, some physics.. and it's all mouse
driven. :D

I teach both library and technology classes. I have a
webpage of links that I send my students (preschool - 4th grade) to that
is located at http://wilsonmhes.net/links.htm . I use the
cause and effect programs for my preschoolers that are not ready to use a
mouse. There are several other sites that are also good for preschoolers
on this page. Hope this might help.

www.littlefingers.com has some great games. I download the
trail version and put it on my server. I get 6 to 10 uses out of each
trail. When I run out of the trail version, I just re-load it to my
computer. I have finally invested in the site licenses for 11 of their
games. It cost me less then $1000 but are well worth it. There are
some great activities for you grades Pre to 5th.

Sesame
Street, especially the alphabet games (Key-Board-O-Rama is a favorite) has
always worked for us, even the first time that the preschoolers attack the
computers!

I use www.abcya.com with my kindergarten students. Go to
www.computerlabkids.com and scroll down to "What Can I Do in the Lab"
and she has a section for preschool/kinders. Don't know how much help this is,
but please post a hit, since I'm always looking for new stuff to do with my
kids.

Why not check out the websites that review or award children's
webpages to get some ideas:

You can check the recommended web pages for the age group you

You see, I don't believe libraries should be drab places where
people

sit in

silence, and that's been the main reason for our policy of
