I have a parent who is often making judgements about programs for which she has little background. Now she feels my students should not be using the computers for games during their free library time. I am searching for a website or two that would present the benefits of allowing elementary students to "play" on sites like FunBrain, etc. I have lots of just for fun things on my website that I want the children to use. These sites help develop surfing skills and a comfort level with using my site and all Internet resources. When we then are using my sites for research and serious class work the students are much betters users of my resources. I'll post a hit if anyone wants one. Thanks Barb "Librarian.
