Thanks so much for the MANY quick suggestions. We went with Dear Mrs.
LaRue, Dear Mr. Bear and Dear Mr. Blueberry. I also have Dear Tooth
Fairy which I will suggest to her. 
I love you all - first day for the kids here : )

little envelopes and letters (sort of like a pop-up book). Very popular
with
younger students, as the postman delivers letters to fairy tale
characters.

Dear Mrs. LaRue by Mark Teague

There is a story "Dear Rosa Parks."  It is geared for fourth grade
though.
