Our district has told us that if the teachers are showing
the address that parents must be notified their children
will be viewing this and if parents don't allow their
children to be part of the viewing then those children must
be given an alternative learning activity, outside of the
classroom.
Apparently, at least from the way our message was worded,
parents contacting the District Offices started the need for
this.
If I had a school aged child and I heard this was happening
in my child's school. I would keep them home from school
that day to watch this message about education together with
my child and be sure the school/district knew the reason for
their absence.
