I do not see how anyone can seriously believe that little Sally Third-Grader
is going to go home and try to convert her parents to the President's agenda
or try to indoctrinate mom and dad into socialism or any of the other really
irrational things I've been hearing and reading everywhere.

What is politically non-neutral about our President telling our nation's
children how important it is to work hard and behave in school and not to
drop out? What horrible agenda is the President trying to promote by talking
to our kids about getting a good education?

If anyone is doing any indoctrinating and promoting an agenda, it's those
people who are misrepresenting the President's message, censoring him
(without legitimate reason), and propagating fear and ignorance. What
message are our students getting? That they should not learn to think for
themselves? They should be making choices, decisions, forming opinions, and
governing our communities, states, and nation based on fear, ignorance,
irrationality, and erroneous information. We have far too many people now
that make decisions this way. Our job as educators is to teach children how
to think critically, to use reason, to study all sides of an issue to make
informed decisions or express informed opinions and not pander to fear and
ignorance.

It is truly a sad day when the President of the United States of America is
censored and the example being set for children across this country is the
exact opposite of everything education stands for and everything this
country stands for!
