Scholastic provides scanners and registers for their bookfairs, but one is certainly not required to use them. Having had years of experience running bookfairs with and without the scanners, I can't imagine why anyone would elect NOT to use them, however. They certainly make checkout faster and more accurate, not to mention figuring the financials at the end of the fair. The scanners seem fairly idiot-proof, and I highly recommend them. -- Michele Nokleby Hawthorne Elementary School Librarian Missoula, MT mnokleby@gmail.com Personal Blog: http://moonlightlibrarian.blogspot.com/ Library webpage: www.HawthorneLibrary.tk -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
