This is the very reason I love the delete button! I don't bother with emails that are of no interest to me. Lynda N. (1873) ~ Louisa May Alcott ~ -----Original Message----- From: School Library Media & Network Communications [mailto:LM_NET@LISTSERV.SYR.EDU] On Behalf Of Thomas Kaun Sent: Friday, April 23, 2010 11:23 AM To: LM_NET@LISTSERV.SYR.EDU Subject: WEDDING???? Hi all. On NPR this morning there was a commentary about the most dangerous use of email--the "Reply All" button. We, at LM_NET, need to get better at NOT hitting that reply all button. A recent thread about weeding, which someone mislabeled "WEDDING" is a particularly annoying example. When someone asks for personal advice about a topic, please be very careful about sending your advice to everyone. I know on my gmail account I have to consciously decide to choose "Reply All," the default being to reply to sender. Maybe this is not the default with other email systems so users need to be even more cautious. Just a little vent early on a Friday morning. ;<) Tom Kaun Thomas T. It is nonexistent until and unless a person experiences it in a useful way. --Jaron Lanier -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
