Thanks so much to my responses....not too many....but helpful!  It is tough to find 
books that challenge students academically but are also age appropraite 
content-wise.

If you go to the Renaissance Learning site under AR quiz store, you can print out 
lists of titles for a specific reading level range. Even if you don't use AR, this 
might be a good place to start.

Google the Texas Lonestr booklist-- and check out their offereing-- they are 
usually very good.
