Hi everyone!
My husband and I are going to be relocating after he graduates in May. He has
interviewed with companies in New Mexico, South Carolina, and Georgia. I was
wondering if any of you library media specialists in those states would be able to
answer a few questions for me :0) I'm curious to know what the job situations are
like and what the possibility or chance would I have getting a job in any of those
states would be. Do these states require library media specialists in every
building? Are we the first ones to get cut when the budgets are strained in those
states? Basically I'm wondering how easy it is to get a position in a school,
preferably an elementary school, in any of those states. Any help would be
appreciated! This is going to be a scary move for us as we move our family to a
new place where we know no one and have to start over, so if I can get an idea
ahead of time of hard the job search will be, I'd feel a little better! Thanks in
