[LM_NET] HS: Math/Music book

We are launching an experimental summer reading program where all the
teachers in the building choose a book and lead a book discussion with
students when we return in the fall.  We are hoping to spark an interest
in reading for the fun of it (imagine that).

 

At any rate, many teachers are asking me for book suggestions.  So far,
only one has stumped me, and I was hoping you could help.  I had a math
teacher who is very interested in music (more rock-n-roll/hair band
type) for a book that incorporates both math and music.  The only one I
could think of off the top of my head that was fun and dealt w/ math was
An Abundance of Katherines.  Do any of you have any other suggestions?
It can be either fiction or nonfiction.

 

One thing to note, this teacher is shy so I don't think she would do
well with language/sex issues in the book.
