[LM_NET] TAR: books about inventions

I am sharing information about a new Minnesota author, Tim Kehoe, with my
third grade students.  His first book, "The Unusual Mind of Vincent Shadow"
is about a middle school boy and his experience inventing toys while
adjusting to living with a new step-mom and three new sisters.  Now my
students are asking for books on how inventions came to be and the history
behind inventions.  A colleague suggested "365 Surprising Scientific Facts,
Breakthroughs, and Discoveries", however, this is too difficult for the
elementary level.  I would appreciate any books you could suggest!   I will
post a hit.
