It seems to be increasingly popular to write nonfiction with text at two levels. Usually an easily-read sentence or two, and an accompanying paragraph in a smaller font with more in-depth information. For example; An Egg Is Quiet, A Seed Is Sleepy, or many of the Steve Jenkins books. Is there a term for this type of publication? Has anyone created a bibliography of these books that you know of? I had a teacher request some today, and she was calling them "Read-Alongs" but in my mind, that is an audio book accompanied by a print copy. -- Michele Nokleby Hawthorne Elementary School Librarian Missoula, MT mnokleby@gmail.com Personal Blog: http://moonlightlibrarian.blogspot.com/ Library webpage: www.HawthorneLibrary.tk -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
