Bravo Lisa!

It reminds me of how we are all focused on technology as some sorta'
panacea. My father growing up in Greece pre WWII said a couple years ago:
*I remember when I was a boy and all the banks would do business outside (at
tables) with the lines of people on the streets. Then after the war they
built buildings and banks with their lines moved inside; now I'm an old man
and again the banks and the lines of people are back on the streets (Walk up
ATM's)*

It reminds me how students of old at one point used personal slate tablets
while paper and writing implements were rare. After a whole series of paper
writing implement inventions culminating in the ball point pen, we are now
looking at future students who will have their own personal "smart tablets".

Technology is a tool for learning when used as such; it is not learning unto
itself.
