[LM_NET] SIGMS Announcement

ISTE SIGMS is pleased to announce that Joyce Valenza will be serving as our
Member-at-Large for the 2010-11 school year.  Joyce’s proven leadership in
issues related to technology and school librarianship will serve us well as
we work together to support our profession in the upcoming year.  She will
advise the leadership team as we plan another full slate of activities to
support our members.

Unfortunately, SIGMS Chair-Elect Gwyneth Jones has notified us that she will
be unable to assume the chair role due to her new obligations as a member of
the ISTE Board.  We are very happy for her and know she will represent us
well, but this means that SIGMS will be holding another election in late
September to determine the new chair-elect.   Watch for an upcoming
announcement with information about how to run for office.

In addition, SIGMS will have a wide range of opportunities to volunteer with
the SIG in the next school year.  By donating just a few hours a month you
can make a difference for our profession.  SIGMS will launch our Call for
Volunteers in early September.
