I just watched "Where the Wild Things Are" on a DVD last night and afterwards, I had to read the book again. Some of the visual images were wonderful in the movie which give a visual memory of the book but...as usual when they take a short picture book and expand it into a movie, they TOTALLY changed the feel for the movie. I found it sad a depressing. It was kind of like a cross between "Where the Wild Things Are" and "Lord of the Flies."
