[LM_NET] TAR> Purple Trees Story

I have an old story that has been handed down titled, "Yes, Sweetie, Trees Can Have 
Purple Leaves" by James J. Backen.  I am hunting the original publication and date 
so I can cite it correctly.

I have been unable to trace it successfully.  Help, please?
