Our district has purchased laptops for each elementary school and all students K-5
can use them. However, our AUP ( Acceptable Use Policy) has always been given in
grade 3. K-2 teachers want to use the internet with their students, and in some
cases have ( with guidance, as in - here is the site you will use. ). It has been
suggested that we send home a K-2 appropriate AUP with our first day packet of
forms, so these students can use the internet/web as needed in their classrooms.
I've searched the archives without much luck.
Does anyone have a link they could send me to their K-2 appropriate AUP? Or the
actual AUP itself? . Our AUP is very legalese, and covers Grades 3-12... and is
6-8 pages. I'd like a 1-2 page document that doesn't have the parents asking "
what is this internet stuff all about?" I'd adapt one to cover the K-2 students,
who would then get the regular district one in 3rd grade.
