Hi, Is there anything greater than seeing a child reading for the first time? How about when a child is able to take his or her first book home to share with his or family? Books lead readers to a world away from politics and their every day life. Being transported to a new world opens doors and the mind to new experiences. Many readers find out that they can be anything they want when they read a book. That is why I am here. I want to encourage a child to read and transport himself or herself to worlds of discovery, adventure and excitement. The reader becomes one with the book, the experience, and with the library. Guiding young readers is so important in providing them up with the skills to become lifelong learners. I love the questions and the suggestions from readers of all ages. I strongly feel that the library is does not belong to me - it belongs to the students. Their interests and needs are what makes the collection in the library. I am here to help them maintain their library and enjoy themselves. Dr. Seuss said it perfectly with this quote: “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.” Thank you for all the wonderful encouraging words of wisdom and experience. God bless all librarians!! _________________________________________________________________ The New Busy think 9 to 5 is a cute idea.
