I have a teacher preparing a student for summer reading and she has asked for my help.........so, here I am :-) The students are required to read "The Glass Castle" by Jeanette Walls and "The Crucible" by Arthur Miller. Both of these titles are waaaaaay too difficult for her, her reading level is probable in the 4th grade range. I can find some titles for "Glass Castle" but am stumped for "The Crucible". If you can offer any suggestions for either one, I would surely appreciate the help. Thanks so much in advance, EC Eileen Culkin, Librarian Inter-Lakes Jr. Sr. High School Meredith, NH eculkin@interlakes.org "Cuts to libraries during a recession are like cuts to hospitals during a plague." ~Eleanor Crumblehulme "I really didn't realize the librarians were, you know, such a dangerous group. They are subversive. You think they're just sitting there at the desk, all quiet and everything. They're like plotting the revolution, man. I wouldn't mess with them."
