I know from previous postings that many of you out there happen to be your school's National Honor Society sponsors as well as librarians. I am looking for some advice from you. I am the sponsor for my high school and I am left with a decision to make on a student who last week was in a fight here at school. She received 4 days OSS for this fight. I had made my decision that I would take her office and place her on probation for the remainder of her high school days, but then today found out from a reliable source that she may not be very remorseful for what she did, thus I am now left with a very bad headache. I am now leaning toward asking her to resign. What would you do in this instance? What about cheating or stealing? I would appreciate any guidance on how your chapter handles these situations. Thank you so much.
