Here's a better description of why we're looking for out of state partners:
Summer 2010: Travel the United States in Ten Days
Do you have an elementary teacher who would be interested in building a two or
three week curriculum around traveling the United States? We're looking for a brave
someone to pilot a "Travel the U.S. in Ten Days" program. The Northern Lights crew
would locate 10 other classrooms of the same grade level (or very close) around the
nation to connect with your class via ITV for a 45-60 minute session each day.
This would be a completely custom experience for your students and teacher! You
choose the dates and times. A sample of the collaboration we would post to find
partnering classrooms might look like:
SAMPLE: Wisconsin 4th grade class is seeking a fourth grade class from another
state to learn more about each other's corner of the United States. 2010 video
conferencing dates and times available are as follows:
6/14 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Central 6/22 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Central
6/15 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Central 6/23 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Central
6/16 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Central 6/24 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Central
