I do a Seuss unit with Kinders beginning of course the week of March 2. This first week I read The Cat in the Hat and have each of the children color a red & white hat. Later I will read Horton Hears a Who and the children will create an elephant ears headband using this http://whos-of-who-cester.googlegroups.com/web/everyones_an_elephant.pdf or a set of ears from Charlene Schwartz in 2008 (then at River Falls, WI). I'd like to expand upon the "listening" component with a lesson about how to be a good listener. Anyone have any great ideas, or have created something similar? -- Anne Oelke Library Media Specialist pK-12 Cambria-Friesland School Dst.
