Here are the responses I got about using online magazine providers. Sorry
about using the tagline HIT in my last email instead of TAR, like I meant
to!

For several years I have used Discount Magazine Subscription Service, PO Box
60114, in Fort Myers, Florida. BE CAREFUL! There is another magazine
subscription company with a similar name in Florida that is not reputable.

The web address for the one I have used is

Megan,
When I was in school one of my library professors said that the best way to
purchase magazines was through the publisher. (This was over 25 years ago.)
You can get special prices and multi year subscriptions. She told us that
your treasurer's office won't like the fact that they have to process a lot
of POs rather than one. When I got frustrated with the jobber I was using I
went to doing the individual POs. Keeping the information on a spread sheet
helped me keep track of the subscriptions. Another reason I went to
individual subscriptions was that I was in a vocational high school and many
of the periodicals that I ordered I couldn't get through the jobber.

I did this inquiry myself last year. After pulling together the results I
decided to try Popular Subscription Service http://www.popularss.com/. I
was able to a quote from the company and it cut my cost almost in 1/2. It
did take a little while for the magazines to start coming at the start of
the year, but we haven't had any problems with them once the magazines
started arriving. This company was one of the top 3 in my search, but I
can't remember the other 2 companies.

Good luck!

I have used BestDealMagazines.com for about 6 years. I have never had a
problem with the subscriptions and the savings are significant. I pay with
my own credit card and get reimbursed.

Anyway, I've tried "Discount Magazine Subscription Service" at two different
schools, and I've always been pleased with them.
