My daughter, who teaches first and second grade, asked me for advice, and I'm turning to you, since I'm not an elementary librarian. What would you recommend for first and second graders who are reading at 4th-5th grade levels? She didn't say anything about the maturity of either the children or the parents, so I'm guessing that she's looking for books that are still age-appropriate for the kids but written with a higher vocabulary level. Ideas? I've already suggested Asimov's _Lucky Starr_ books. -- David Lininger, kb0zke MS/HS Librarian Skyline MS/HS Urbana, MO 65767 (417) 993-4226 t i g e r l i b r a r i a n at g m a i l dot c o m -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
