There is a great book written by Julia Cooked called "I am a Booger, Treat
me with Respect" that really explains the reasons why one should not pick
their nose. I love this books, and it could be read to all ages :)

When I was in 5th grade, my teacher did NOT believe in being discreet. She
would call out loud to anyone she caught digging for treasure, and she was
never nice about it. I remember the one boy she caught every single day.
Poor kid, never even had very many friends. She was an amazing teacher who
did a lot of things that would never be tolerated in todays world, but she
did a lot of things right, and was my inspiration to work with children.
Although, even with 7 years in the elementary classroom, I never once
scolded a child publicly for picking their nose :)
