If you answered yes to any of these think about

The town of Dodson and DPS is situated on the
Montana hi-line in the Northwest portion of Phillips County on Highway
2. We are not far from larger towns such as Malta (17miles East) and
Havre (72miles West). The town of Dodson is a farming/ranching community
home to about 100 residents. Our school has around 65 students K-12.
Our town is a few miles from the Fort Belknap reservation and has a
student population that is + - 85% Native American. Like much of
Northern Montana our winters are long, but we rarely have severe
snowfall and the roads are well taken care of.
In addition to the School the town of Dodson has a
café, general store, post office, two churches and two bars.
We have well maintained teacher housing units
with rent between $125-175 a month and we give a discount if you are
away for the summer. First come first serve.
Our town and school are safe places for kids; we
pride ourselves on being a family type school.
Our current average high school student to
teacher ratio is 1:4 and the average class size is 6 students.
Our district Qualifies for employees to
participate in the Federal Loan Repayment program and we may be able to
assist with continuing education if you are interested in obtaining
additional endorsements in hard to fill areas.
DPS currently has a computer to student ratio of
2:1, that is 2 computers for each student! There are enough computers in
most classrooms to accommodate all of the assigned students. We do our
best to ensure classrooms have access to lcd projectors, overhead
projectors, and Smartboards. Residences in town are able to access high
speed internet service and most people utilize satellite TV.
Our facility is comprised of 4 interlinked
buildings with the original built in the mid 1920’s. We pride ourselves
in the upkeep of the grounds and the interior classrooms.
We go to school 187 days a year and our base wage
is $22,800 Our district pays 70% of the premium for single, couple, or
family Blue Cross & Blue Shield health insurance. We give up to five
years experience and have incentives for continued education.
