----- Original Message ----- From: "Pamela Thompson" <pthomp@SISD.NET> We promote the local branch of the public library--they offer great teen programs--my school is grades 6-8. If the kids want books, they have to make the effort to go there. --------------------------- Hey! That's a good idea! Maybe some of the last days of library time can be spent on a school library sponsored field trip to the local libraries to get the kids started on their use of the PUBLIC library! Our elementary students have similar field trips to study about local history (museums and parks), service jobs (firestation, city hall, etc.), production (peanuts, etc.) during the last days of school, so why not take them to the Public library?
