Dear List Members -
I am so proud of our K-8 students this year. Last year at our annual AR awards
assembly I challenged them to read 12,000 books by the end of the school year to
get our principal up on the roof at the start of the next school year. With just
over a week of school left we are in site of our goal with less then 100 books to
read. This is 1,500 book more then they read last year and with about 60 students
less. Our district has went from 380 students last year to 320 students this year.
Only tests that were read and AR test taken and passed counted. All the teachers
have commented on how much students Star tests are showing growth in their
student's reading levels. Will have to think of something fun for next year!!
