Excuse the repost.  Trying to clean up the original email.  Hard to read.

I'm working to add a component to a current class where I introduce basic
technology tools to 1st semester MLS students.  What adaptive/assistive
technologies do you have available for use in your library?  I'm not looking for
things you have available that teachers may check out for classroom use.  I'd like
to compose a list of adaptive/assistive technologies that are in actual use in
your library.

Assistive or Adaptive Technology commonly refers to "...products, devices or
equipment, whether acquired commercially, modified or customized, that are used to
maintain, increase or improve the functional capabilities of individuals with
disabilities..." Assistive Technology Act of 1998.

http://www.rehabtool.com/at.html  This site recommends sorting adaptive/assistive
technologies into categories.  I'm including all categories suggested by this
site, but realize that some of the areas may not reflect needs of the library.

Please respond using this template if you have an item to contribute to the list.

Thanks in advance.  I will post a hit.
Laura
