I had a student come to school and tell me that he had left his book
on top of his mom's car and she had driven off with it. I was not
very sure I believed him and told him he would have to pay for it.
Three days later another student brought in a book with tire marks all
over the cover that he had found in the street in front of his house.
Sure enough it was the first student's book. After a bit of cleaning
up it was as good as new. I made boy one thank boy two for turning it
in and saving him $15.
