Are you sure it's an apostrophe and not supposed to be an accent mark?
Some of my students have an e' (Shawde' - changed a few letters...) at
the end of their name in the computer - when they write it on
forms/papers, it is an accent mark (Shawdé), but the person entering
them into the system cannot add the letter é (not sure if it will show
up as an e w/ accent mark once it sends or not...). Other students
really do have an apostrophe, but it's in the middle: Ty'Niqua (made
up, but along same lines as real student).

Grammarians,
I have a teacher who is seeking help and all of my sources have turned
up empty. How do you create possessive forms of proper names that
already contain an apostrophe or apostrophe -s? For example: Tyna' and
Willi's (these are subsitutions for names of current students - each
with the correct name ending)
