Hi there, I am interested in booking an author for the fall and/or spring (read across america week). Our school is located in Atlantic City, NJ..and I am wondering if anyone has an author that is coming to the general area that would be interested in sharing with me. Last year we had Patricia Polacco (AND SHE WAS AMAZING). This year it would be wonderful to have a K/1 author, 2-4 and 6-8--but that gets pricey. Next on my list of requests: I am new to setting up a blog..and wanted some critique..bear with me it is a weak start..and wanted to see what others do with Edublog. Our tech person will not permit access to blogs or wikis --but I am going to try to convince her to unblock my blog..We also use Echalk and she REFUSES to allow us to use the BLOG feature. I have tried to be reasonable, but it is so frustrating..but I am not stopping bec/ I thought I would go to the experts that might have some input on "convincing administration of the benefits of students/teachers in 2-8 (grades) that can use these features.. DOES ANY librarian out there use Echalk--and if so, I need ideas.. http://mediamama.edublogs.org Last but not least..what does Target or Hit mean? If I am interested in an idea or wish to contribute..what is the best course of action. I am honored to be able to learn from all of you..and feel incredibly grateful that I got off my tush and renewed my membership to my association after 3 years of laying low..
