Hi, I am looking specifically for non-fiction books that will help fourth grade teachers enhance teaching about the catskill area. My idea is to connect the Jean Craighead George My side of the Mountain books with actually locating information about New York plants and animals that live in the catskills, endangered animals like the Perigrine Falcon, areas around the Schoharie Creek, etc. Any suggestions would be appreciated. If you have any other wilderness fiction stories that students may like for a followup I wsould appreciate them also. Thanks. If there is a need I will follow up with a hit.
