The following announcement appeared on C-SPAN's America On Line
service:


Beginning Monday, January 17, C-SPAN will host a week of live call-
in programs examining the future of the so-called "Information
Highway."

The nightly programs will examine a variety of issues involved in
building the communications network, including the industries
involved, the information and services that might be available,
costs of building the communications infrastructure, and the role
of government in regulating competing interests and industries.

The nightly call-in programs will air at 6:30 pm ET/3:30 pm PT,
Monday, January 17 through Friday, January 21.
