I am in a K-8 school. Seventh and eighth graders were told very brief
facts, and told to call their parents as soon as they got home--and were
told not to watch TV. Their will be a meeting tomorrow for 5-8 to go over
some of the events, with crisis people available if students need it. K-4
wanted to take care of it in the classroom.
My Principal is a former Sargent Major in the marines. He went to
Desert Storm his second year in my school. His niece graduated from Colgate
last spring, and is a linguist at the World Trade Towers, and the UN. There
was no word from her as of 3:15 this afternoon.
A friend of my sister's called her today--she works across from the UN.
She said it seemed like a movie scene, because it was beyond comprehension.
She was evacuated, but couldn't get home.
