I had the TV on in my Media Center, and teachers and other staff were coming
in and out all day. We don't have many TV's in the classrooms, but those
that did were asked to keep it on at a minimum. Some of our Gifted and
Talented students have parents that work in the financial district. By 2:00
half of our student population had been picked up. The Board of Ed sent a
school bus to pick up any students who usually take public transportation as
city buses by our school weren't running. We are a magnet middle school and
have very few students who are within walking distance.
