Hello! In the Book Report, published January/February 2001 Volume 19, number 4, I wrote an article called School Librarians as Staff Developers. Within this article I talked about the key role School Librarians hold in supporting life long learning not only for students but also for the adults within the school. I have been asked to continue research in the area of school librarians serving as staff developers. I would appreciate your support in helping me to answer two questions: 1. What kinds of professional development does the school librarian seek for themselves in becoming more effective in their role as a staff developer? 2. How does the school librarian currently serve in the role of staff developer? What concerns do you have in this role? What hurdles have you overcome in this role? What Survival Tips do you have for others in this role? Responses to the above mentioned questions can be sent to my e-mail address at: karenhayes@mail.unomaha.edu Thank you!
