help with food safety stats

Dear LM_Net,
This is the first time that I have submitted a query
for assistance.  My FFA instructor is working on a
grant application that needs specific statistics
dealing with food safety.  For example-numbers of
people who get sick from poorly prepared food.  Do any
of you know where we can find this type of statistics.
 He has contacted the local extension service, but
they haven't gotten back to him.  He asked if I would
submit a question to ask if any of you knew were he
could find these statistics.  He's heard me brag of
all the wealth of information that I find on this
ListServ.
