Hi LM listserv, Turn-off your TV week has officially begun. My school library supports this activity as does the American Academy of Pediatrics, and my favorite local independent bookseller! Here is the best web link for research on the impact of television, and support for those of you participating in TV turn-off week: www.tvturnoff.org For those of you looking for professional resources and research on this topic, I recommend any books by Jane Healy - especially Endangered Minds and Failure to Connect. -- Andrea Burke, Library Media Teacher Damascus Middle School Boring, Oregon astory@telestream.com (home email) =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
