I am probably the one who needs to be taught! How do you explain the difference in fiction and non-fiction to your students? I love to teach Dewey. Do you explain non-fiction as "informational?" rather than factual? So many students are surprised to find the folk/fairy tales and poetry in the "non-fiction." How do you explain that to the inquiring, sharp thinkers? Just wondering how other creative librarians explain the reasoning behind the "Dewey" plan of organization. Thanks so much!
