I don't understand this. How do they get out of class in the first place without a class? As the receiving teacher, how can you write the pass--how do you know they have permission to be out of class? Nina Jackson, LMT and NBCT Franklin Middle School (6-8 grade) Long Beach, CA njackson@lbusd.k12.ca.us http://www.lbusd.k12.ca.us/franklin/library In literature as in love, we are astonished at what is chosen by others.--Andre Maurois Books invite all; they constrain none.--Inscription at the Los Angeles Public Library >>> "Dr. Allan O'Grady Cuseo" <library@BKHS.ORG> 04/04/05 4:33 AM >>> My policy is easy and black and white. All passes are issued by the library, period - this includes lunch or any other time. I do have rare times when a student will be sent to the library out of a class to get a reference book or use the copier- - but that is one student and rare. As I wear many hats - I may not even be in the library so it is not good policy to send a student to an area without an adult. That is the policy for the entire school - the "receiving" teacher can only issue a pass.
