I've searched the archives but I guess I haven't found the right search term yet. Those of you that split your collections in Juvenille Fiction and Young Adult Fiction, or something approximating that, would you share how you determine where to put it? I've found some guidelines in the archives, but I'm wondering if anyone has a source for the general interest level vs grade/reading level correlation. I'm thinking the interest level is a more important factor than the reading level/grade level in putting in juvenille or young adult because the interest level will deal with content, not reading ability. We all know 9th graders reading on a 2nd grade level (sadly!) and 2nd graders reading on a 6th grade level (hooray!) so the interest level makes more sense to me. Any insight from the wisdom of the list? BTW, I'm still accepting folks who wish to be 'counted' among the various types of school librarians. I've only had about a dozen responses, maybe everyone is off on summer vacation (as I probably should be!)
