I am on the K12Admin discussion group and Dr. Mark Fetler asked if anyone
there had had any dealings with or knew about the Rutherford Institute. This
query is in relation to book challenges. I asked his permission to post
his question to this group.
Can you help? It sounds like something we all may need to know about.

Betty, thanks for your note. If you think the people on LM_NET
have the information, by all means let's ask them. The main
challenge is to a book, "The Giver," by Lois Lowry, which looks
like contemporary fiction and which has won a stack of awards
in the juvenile fiction area.
